The Obersee Bilingual School Choir's rendition of the well-known tune from The Jungle Book capped an informative and positive visit by Kurt Zurbuchen, Mayor of the community of Freienbach (back, right), and City Council members Claudia Räber (back, middle) and Paul Feusi (back, left), as well as the community's Director of Education Christian Stauffacher (back, second from left) to the bilingual private school in Pfaeffikon, where around 260 children ages 3 months to 10 years enjoy high quality education and care.
Prior to the performance, director Pamela Bremer greeted the prominent guests and lead them on a tour of the school where they observed with great interest the bilingual lessons presented in the primary grades and took pleasure in seeing with what enthusiasm the Kindergarten and Prekindergarten children participated in their special activities and games, through which they saw how naturally children benefit from the advantages of bilingual education and could experience the comprehensive care and service that Obersee children and their families appreciate.
The community representatives were as well treated to a presentation during which Pamela Bremer detailed plans to expand with additional kindergarten, prekindergarten and primary classes into a new large school building in Summer 2010, designed to satisfy the growing demand for bilingual education.
Requests to visit the school or for information about the new classes can be made through email info@oberseebilingualschool.ch or by telephone 055 415 4400.
