On Thursday 19th and Friday 20th May, 8 Respekt-Lotsen and 6 Peace Keepers enjoyed a Workshop at the Bodensee with Mrs. Lic. Phil. Caroline Spirig and Mrs. Appenzeller. Three different trainings took place at the same time, depending on the student's competences:
- Mrs. Appenzeller initiated the basic training of the Grade 7 students who have been elected for this position. The three most experienced Grade 10 students were responsible for each a training module: bystander-effect, pyramid of needs and the 4-ear-model by Schulz von Thun; they mastered this task brilliantly.
- The „Advanced" learned how to handle emotions, prejudices, groupthinking and practiced mediation with psychologist Spirig.
- Four experts from Grade 9 & 10 learned about the Drama Triangle (victim-rescuer) by Stephen Karpman and the "learned helplessness". The three experts who lead a group at the Upper School also had the opportunity to analyse their leadership style and trace their guiding principle.
The students gave the course management a very positive feedback for their training and returned strengthened and motivated back to school.
