Admissions Process Upper School
We accept students throughout the year and given that space is available in the respective classes. Parents and students are invited to visit our school to learn about our environment, mission and vision.
A preliminary interview with the admissions department serves to establish whether the school's concept and approach meet with the expectations of the candidate's family and to discuss school terms and policies. To get an impression of our concept and school life in Upper School, we offer trial days to interested students.
Admission to Upper School requires a Placement Test.
This assessment is used to determine the current level in the subjects German, English and Math as well as to test the student's cognitive potential and establish a personality profile. The detailed results are a useful instrument to assess the candidate. Underlining the child's strong points the results enable a differentiated analysis.
The cost of carrying out the assessment and a subsequent feedback interview is CHF 950. During this interview parents will receive a recommendation for their child's academic path based on the individual skills profile. After the decision of admission, OBS reserves a place for the student for 3 weeks to hand in the signed contract. After this time a place at OBS can only be offered according to availability.
